The Drulon people have inhabited the great swamp, referred to as Lekmalior's pool by the Sages of Sala, but properly known as the Rietroum for over 1100 years. Life in the swamp can be harsh and has resulted in a people that reflect such surroundings. Their history has been filled with betrayal, bloody clan wars, and several holy wars. Yet, they have developed some of the most beautiful artwork, tapestries and weavings the world has seen. In fact, every aspect of Drulon life revolves on a complex balance between beauty and death. It is at their core beliefs that for every action taken there is an equal and opposite reaction and as a result they tend to be slow to act on issues without time to ponder all possible outcomes.
